The 28-year-old model revealed to Vogue that she created a unique orange ostrich Woods by Jordyn Tux Clutch Mini, priced at $125, specifically for the NBA postseason. Given the team’s ongoing 11-game winning streak, Woods plans to keep the clutch close at hand.
“I carried it for the first game while doing a TikTok Get Ready With Me session, and we’ve been on a winning streak ever since. It’s definitely become my lucky clutch,” she explained.
Woods, who became engaged to Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns on Christmas Day, discussed her game-day rituals with the magazine during the Eastern Conference Finals, which saw the Knicks triumphantly sweep the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games.
“Once the playoffs kick off, every little thing turns into a ritual if it helps us win,” she commented. “At this stage, I’m not willing to change anything.”
It seems fans are also paying close attention.
“It’s reached a point where if fans don’t see me with the clutch during a tight game, they start blaming me for breaking our winning routine,” she shared. “So, I’m keeping the clutch by my side for the foreseeable future.”
The clutch continues to hold its undefeated status: Woods uploaded a picture to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, showing the clutch resting beside the Eastern Conference Championship trophy on the basketball court. The Knicks secured their spot in the NBA Finals for the first time in 27 years with a resounding 130-93 victory in Game 4 on Monday.
Apart from her lucky clutch, Woods often requests custom Knicks-themed attire for many of the games, including leather jackets in the team colors, glittery pumps adorned with the team logo, and tank tops featuring the number 32.
“I just bring a T-shirt or jeans to my favorite tailor, and we start chopping, pinning, and recreating right from scratch,” she said about her collaboration with her tailor. “I really enjoy the process of transforming a basic item into a unique piece.”
Woods has been a fixture courtside all season, celebrating a Knicks’ first-round victory in April alongside her once-estranged friend Kylie Jenner and actor Timothée Chalamet on a double date, and making a fashion statement in Dsquared2’s ice-skate boots just a day after announcing Towns’ proposal.
