Last night, the Egyptian Theater courtyard was transformed into a British-themed celebration for the afterparty of Jennifer Lopez‘s new movie, “Office Romance.” The party featured fish and chips, models dressed as the King’s Guard, and even some Paddington bear toys, nodding to a humorous moment in the film where JLo’s character confesses a quirky fascination with British culture. Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails named “Not Safe For Work” and “Worth the Risk.”

While a selection of Lopez’s biggest hits played, she engaged with guests and enjoyed appetizers, her assistant close by with her iconic studded “bling cup.” However, it was JLo’s mother, Guadalupe Lopez, who truly lit up the scene by dancing energetically to tracks by Gloria Estefan and Bad Bunny. “Mama Lopez is tearing it up on the dance floor!” the DJ exclaimed, much to the delight of those in attendance.

Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, Lopez’s long-term production partner, was also at the event. Despite their impending professional split as Goldsmith-Thomas embarks on a writing career, they celebrated one of their last collaborations. They are still finalizing “The Last Mrs. Parrish,” directed by Robert Zemeckis, which is in post-production for Netflix.

Adam Sandler made an appearance too, navigating the party in a bright orange hoodie alongside his wife Jackie, who plays a small yet impactful role in “Office Romance.”

The spotlight was unexpectedly shared with Abbey Romeo from the streaming show “Love on the Spectrum,” who seemed to captivate everyone’s attention just as much as Lopez.

Post-screening, Lopez had a moment of admiration for Romeo, engaging in lively conversation with the reality star and even taking time to meet Romeo’s mother.

“Oh my God, I’m so starstruck,” remarked a Netflix employee, their awe directed not at Lopez but at Romeo.

During the film’s premiere, “Ted Lasso” actor Brett Goldstein, who both co-wrote and starred in “Office Romance,” shared his initial pitch to Lopez: “We aimed to create a classic rom-com. We wrote this script with only you in mind. If you declined, we wouldn’t proceed. No pressure!” Upon her acceptance, Goldstein humorously commented, “This confirms I must have passed away long ago, and this is all some incredible fantasy.”

According to informal feedback, “Office Romance” was a hit, eliciting laughter so loud that some dialogue was missed. The film showcased undeniable on-screen chemistry between Goldstein and Lopez, underscoring Lopez’s continued success in romantic comedies like “Maid in Manhattan,” “Monster-in-Law,” “The Wedding Planner,” and “Marry Me,” which includes a cameo by P6H’s Ian Mohr.

“The chemistry between Brett and Jennifer is electric,” stated Netflix’s movie chief Dan Lin. He joked, “I’m glad HR isn’t here, as this movie could definitely spark some workplace romances.”

Amidst speculation, some guests whispered about a possible real-life romance between Goldstein and Lopez, though both maintained a professional demeanor as they socialized with their groups and handled press interviews on the red carpet.
