Last week in Florida, the ex-talk show host was caught on video having a dispute regarding her mobility scooter as she left a dinner honoring Kevin Hunter Jr.’s graduation.
The incident was recorded by the “We in Miami” podcast where Williams, aged 60, was seen scolding her staff for allegedly leaving her belongings “abandoned in the middle of the street.”
The Emmy-nominated daytime star asked them to “just get the car, please,” adding humorously, “Make sure it’s the correct one.”
When questioned by the person filming about what occurred, Williams reiterated that her caregivers had “left [her] stuff out there.”
She explained further, “They brought the wrong car, so I knocked on the door, and it was completely the wrong one. They ignored my scooter while walking over there.”
Williams expressed that the scooter was her “most valuable” possession, stating it “cost a damn fortune, motherf–ker.”
The video ended with Williams continuing to reprimand her staff, instructing, “Bring the car here, not over there, so I can easily get into the street. They are supposed to be arranging the car. That’s their job.
“They want to work for me; that’s what they should be doing,” she continued. “They earn their pay from me. Get the damn car.”
Stunt Lifestyle, the host of “We in Miami,” commented after the footage that Williams’ family had told him she was “extremely upset about the disarray and negligence.”
He informed his audience, “She pointed out that the car was not positioned correctly to ensure she was even entering the right vehicle. It was all quite chaotic, so she was very upset, and her family was too.”
Williams’ appearance on Dec. 19 at Hunter’s significant event was a rare sight since her departure from television in 2022.
She was seen joyfully applauding in a glittering dress as her 24-year-old son accepted his diploma.
While Williams’ legal guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, described her as “cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated” in a statement last November, Hunter offered his own update in a recent Instagram comment.
“She’s sober and wants to come home,” he stated. “We’re fighting to make that happen because isolation is harming her more than anything else.”
Williams was initially declared “incapacitated” by her bank, Wells Fargo, in 2022, leading to her being placed under a court-ordered guardianship.
