Page Six has the exclusive scoop that the glamorous annual benefit concert, celebrating its ninth iteration, will feature icons Cher and New York’s own Alicia Keys.
The event on March 6 will also showcase talents like Beck, Eurythmics veteran Dave Stewart, Kate Hudson, Mavis Staples, Trey Anastasio, and Peter Frampton.
The night will be emceed by a host of stars including Alex Edelman, Amy Schumer, Susie Essman, and Tracy Morgan.
Love Rocks NYC supports the admirable work of God’s Love We Deliver, a New York charity that has provided over 40 million meals since its inception in 1985 during the AIDS crisis. The organization now extends its services to anyone unable to shop and cook for themselves due to illness, including their family members and caregivers.
Just last year, the charity distributed over 4 million medically tailored meals to 17,000 New Yorkers dealing with serious health issues.
This year, funds will also aid Project Angel Food in Los Angeles, which is a response to recent devastating wildfires in California.
Greg Williamson, who co-produces the event with fashion mogul John Varvatos and Nicole Rechter, expressed his excitement to Page Six about this year’s lineup.
“Every year, we’re incredibly thankful for the remarkable talent and generosity of all the artists and hosts who dedicate their time to this wonderful cause and concert,” he stated.
Advance tickets for Love Rocks NYC will be available starting Thursday at 10:00am ET on loverocksnyc.com, with general public sales kicking off Friday at 10:00am ET at http://www.ticketmaster.com.
