The standout fashion icon from “Southern Charm” has been turning heads, most notably during a group excursion to the Bahamas where she sported a dazzling swimsuit and an elegant Alaïa dress among other high-end outfits.
It’s hardly surprising that this celebrity hairstylist is venturing into fashion design, although the launch of an affordable pajama line might raise some eyebrows.
From Glam to Pajamas
In a detailed discussion with Page Six Style, LeCroy shared that her eponymous brand has been in the works for over a year, and she’s thrilled to be starting with sleepwear.
“The bedroom is where comfort begins. You want to feel fabulous going to sleep and even better when you wake up, which motivated me to start this line,” she explained about her new sleepwear brand, LeCroy.
Recently announcing her pregnancy with her second child, a daughter, with her husband Brett Randle, LeCroy is also a mother to 11-year-old Hudson from a previous marriage. She told Page Six Style that this new business is a family affair, with all four of them involved in its development.
Randle is taking on a significant role in the business aspects, while Hudson has been casually modeling the prototypes at home, giving off what LeCroy describes as “Richie Rich vibes.” She’s even considering expanding into menswear for her husband and son soon.
With a baby girl on the way, LeCroy is also brainstorming designs for baby clothes. “Having a little girl to help pick out clothing sets in a few years is something I look forward to,” she said.
“There’s something special about wearing something soft and comfy, and I believe babies deserve the same,” she added, hinting at future expansions.
For her own comfort, she’s currently favoring the linen-blend Pillow Talk Robe ($118), which accommodates her growing baby bump.
Launching with Versatility
The initial products are crafted from a blend of soft bamboo viscose and spandex. The lineup includes the long-sleeved Sunset Soiree set ($98), the shorter Champagne Nights PJs ($89), and the short-sleeved Glow Getter set ($89), all available in neutral shades and a vibrant orange reminiscent of the Aperol Spritzes she enjoyed in the Bahamas.
LeCroy even brought her samples to the Caribbean, where she had her fellow cast members model them to finalize the designs. “I had them test the fabrics and fits since we all have different body types. Venita is an XS and Molly is 5-foot-9,” she explained, referencing castmates Venita Aspen and Molly O’Connell, along with Salley Carson and Taylor Ann Green who also served as fit models.
Craig Conover, another cast member, also gave his stamp of approval after seeing the outfits firsthand.
“This initial collection is about establishing wardrobe essentials, starting with pajamas,” LeCroy stated.
“Looking ahead, I plan to introduce items inspired by holidays and seasons. But initially, I wanted to offer something stylish yet cozy that you can wear around family or during a girls’ night in pajama party,” she elaborated.
Even as she builds her sleepwear brand, LeCroy has no intention of leaving her polished, sophisticated style behind, despite her pregnancy. “Eventually, the heels do come off, but I always start with a classy Southern look and, of course, heels. I’m expanding, so I need the extra height!” she humorously remarked.
Who knows? Maybe her next design venture might just be in footwear.
