Last Moments Remembered by Co-Star
Darrell Sheets, formerly of “Storage Wars,” had an unexpected final interaction that his co-star found surprising, leading up to his sudden passing last week.

In a discussion with Us Weekly that was released on Sunday, Dusty Riach described how Sheets accepted an unusually low offer on a product from a friend.
“What was strange wasn’t the transaction itself,” he explained. “It was the nature of the interaction. Darrell wasn’t someone who typically accepted an initial offer without negotiation.”
Uncharacteristic Deal Making
Riach remarked, “He always fought hard in negotiations, aiming to get every possible dollar.” He mentioned that Sheets had originally asked for a significant sum for an estate collection that one of Riach’s friends was interested in purchasing.
“Then my friend offered him substantially less — $50,000 instead of the $125,000 asking price,” Riach continued. “And Darrell simply agreed, saying, ‘Yeah, that’s great.’”
This response surprised Riach’s friend as well, since it was expected that Sheets would counteroffer, at least to add another $5,000.
“We didn’t really think much of it at the time,” he added.
Riach expressed further, “For Darrell to not counteroffer was just not like him.”
He also recalled a comment from his friend suggesting that it seemed as if Sheets was finalizing his affairs. Following the agreement, Sheets reassured that the payment would be processed without issues.
“Even in our last transaction involving a watch, we haggled over merely $50,” Riach stated, emphasizing the atypical nature of Sheets’ last negotiation. “So this behavior was definitely 110 percent out of character for him.”
Tragic Loss
Sheets died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound on April 22, at the age of 67.
The Lake Havasu City Police Department confirmed that the television star was found deceased in his home in Arizona.
In the time leading up to his untimely demise, Sheets had openly discussed his battles with depression, particularly in a poignant social media post back in 2018.
Sheets is mourned by his two children, Brandon and Tiffany.
