Anne Hathaway shines brightly.

Selected to grace the cover of Vogue’s August 2025 issue, Anne Hathaway posed at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, showcasing a daring outfit in one of the photographs.

The renowned actress sported a top designed by Sarah Burton for Givenchy, adorned with an array of stones, which delicately covered her upper body.

At 42, the star of “The Devil Wears Prada” chose to go without a bra, complementing the ornate top with simple black pants and an eye-catching Bvlgari High Jewelry ring.

Famed hairstylist Orlando Pita worked on Hathaway’s flowing brunette locks, giving them a tousled appearance, while makeup artist Gucci Westman applied a subtle beauty look with prominent eyebrows to enhance her youthful appearance.

In other parts of the shoot, styled by Tabitha Simmons, Hathaway donned additional high-end Givenchy ensembles, including a black and white blazer dress and a textured bra top paired with a skirt adorned with a bow.

On the cover, the mother of two exuded sophistication in a floral high-neck sleeveless top.

Comments on Vogue’s Instagram post of the cover photo included praises and playful references. One user remarked, “Miranda would be proud of you ,” alluding to the iconic character Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep) from “The Devil Wears Prada.”

Another commenter humorously noted, “Florals for spring…… Groundbreaking,” echoing a famous line from the same film.

A different fan referenced Hathaway’s role in “The Princess Diaries,” commenting, “The people’s Queen (of Genovia).”

In her feature interview with the magazine, Hathaway discussed her latest project, “Mother Mary,” a film that intertwines elements of fashion and music.

In this melodrama, Hathaway steps into the shoes of a pop star, a role she described as her most demanding yet.

Hathaway shared insights about her approach to the character in the David Lowery-directed film, explaining, “You can’t just ‘perform’ Mother Mary,” revealing the depth required for the role. “If I landed the part, I needed to be raw material for David to sculpt.”

She admitted she had to “embrace being a novice,” adding, “There’s a humility in that—arriving each day aware that you might fail, and that has to be acceptable. You’re not ‘bad’ at it; you’re just starting out.

Adopting this mindset meant letting go of certain things, which was necessary but challenging, reflecting the nature of transformative experiences,” Hathaway concluded.
