The expert starts by suggesting choosing thin slices of raclette cheese to better control portion sizes. If possible, visit your local cheesemonger to select high-quality cheese in moderation. As for the meats, the same principle applies—go to a butcher if you can and choose leaner, protein-rich options like white ham, dry-cured ham, and bresaola. For potatoes, she advises steaming them or substituting them with cauliflower if you like the idea.

Don’t forget to add raw vegetables to your winter dish, such as green salad, pickles, and grated carrots. But also include some cooked vegetables to add fiber and color to your plate.
