    Peel and chop the carrots, onion, and potatoes into small pieces. Slice the zucchini into rounds.

    Sauté the onion in a little olive oil. Add the carrots and potatoes and cook for 3 minutes. Add 1 liter of water to the vegetables along with thyme, bay leaf, orange juice, cumin, salt, and pepper. Cover and cook. Add the zucchini after 30 minutes and continue cooking for another 15 to 20 minutes on low heat.

    Blend using a mixer. Serve hot with a dollop of fresh cream, if desired.
