By striking the perfect balance between short and long, the star presents the ideal summer haircut: a fresh, ultra-chic, and easy-to-maintain look.

Famously known for her signature long blonde locks, always impeccably styled, the singer of Mauvais Garçon decided it was time for a change. Featured on the cover of Elle magazine’s June 18th issue, she sports a denim Prada jacket and shows off her new hairstyle. Gone are her extra-long tresses, replaced by a subtly wavy, mid-length cut that’s perfectly disheveled to energize her features and frame her face with a soft, airy movement.

While this new look, crafted by hairstylist Rudy Marmet using Kérastase’s Blond Absolu series, seems ideal for summer, it hasn’t won everyone over. “I’ve been reading a lot of negative comments on social media, people saying they miss my long hair,” the singer shares in the magazine. Yet, this hair change was necessary for her hair health: “I started losing my hair during the tour, and I was told it was due to stress and fatigue. It made me very sad; I tried using extensions, but they only caused more damage. I had to cut it all off to keep it healthy,” explains Héléna.

Despite the critics, this new length has everything going for it. It allows for enough hair to vary hairstyles while being short enough to keep the neck cool in the heat. When it comes to color, she opts for a radiant honey shade, neither too light nor too dark, that naturally blends with her light brown roots. A flawless execution that shows sometimes change is good!
