She took her creative style a step further by transforming herself into a walking Thanksgiving table, complete with a miniaturized version of the holiday feast atop her head.
On Thursday evening, the “Bon Appétit” artist shared a video clip on her Instagram showcasing her wearing a vivid blue beret. The hat featured a complete Thanksgiving meal setup for four people on its flat surface.
A Whimsical Holiday Greeting from Perry
“Hatty Thanksgiving,” Perry joked as the video zoomed out from the elaborate hat down to her smiling face.
The assortment on the beret included items such as pumpkin pie, green beans, bread, wine, and, prominently, a perfectly trussed turkey at the center.
Many of Perry’s followers chimed in with comments of “Bon appétit,” playfully referencing both the traditional French hat and her popular song from the 2017 album “Witness.”
Although berets are traditionally French, Perry added an American twist to it by incorporating elements typical of the quintessentially American Thanksgiving meal.
Perry’s Stylish Ensemble
Complementing her themed headgear, Perry wore a dark green sweater over a sleek black turtleneck. Her hair flowed in soft waves, adding a touch of elegance as it spilled out from under the beret.
The original creator of the beret’s design remains a mystery, but it was previously worn by Vogue’s new head of editorial content, Chloe Malle, in 2022. Candice Bergen, Malle’s mother and an actress, had posted a picture of it on Instagram three years prior.
Perry’s Recent Public Appearance
Just over a week ago, Perry and her boyfriend, Justin Trudeau, made headlines with their first public outing as a couple. It was uncertain if the former Canadian Prime Minister was present with Perry during the Thanksgiving celebrations in the U.S.
Despite their separation in 2023, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, Trudeau’s wife, had previously shared images of the Canadian Thanksgiving, which she celebrated with her whole family, including Trudeau. This was amidst speculations of his romantic involvement with the American singer.
