Kelly Ripa’s Bizarre Makeup Blunder on ‘Live’ Leaves Her Disoriented!

Kelly Ripa shared her challenging return to work after a holiday break.

At the start of her first “Live! With Kelly and Mark” episode of 2026, Ripa, sitting next to her husband and co-host Mark Consuelos, recounted, “This morning I woke up feeling completely lost. We had just come back from vacation, and I didn’t even know where I was. I began getting ready in semi-darkness because I prefer not to turn on bright lights; I like to keep the bedroom dim when I start applying my makeup,” she explained.

The 55-year-old continued, “I grabbed what I thought was my foundation stick and started applying it. Something seemed off, but I just kept adding more and more.”

She humorously revealed, “So if I look odd to you today, it’s because I accidentally used a contour stick all over my face instead of foundation.”

Consuelos, ever the supportive spouse, reassured her with a quick, “You look great!”

Ripa responded, “Well, I do look great,” acknowledging, “It appears like I’ve been somewhere. Everyone thinks, ‘Oh, you’re tan.’ But no, it’s just the contour stick I mistook for foundation.”

Known for her transparency, Ripa often shares her blunders with the audience. Just before the Christmas break, she started the show while still adjusting her outfit.

“I’m still getting dressed,” she informed the viewers, adding, “Honestly, just 10 seconds ago, I was completely undressed. And now, I’m only somewhat dressed.”

She jokingly reassured everyone, “It’s okay. We’re all here together. I think my zipper is up, we’re good, we’re good. We somehow made it.”
