The 70-year-old star and his wife, Kayte Walsh, are expecting their fourth child together, making this Grammer’s eighth child overall.
A close source revealed to Daily Mail on Tuesday, “Kelsey is overjoyed to dedicate himself fully to fatherhood once again. He has been a rock for Kayte during this surprise pregnancy, which has brought a renewed energy and connection to their relationship that was much needed.”
The informant added, “After reprising his role as Frasier for one last time, he’s ready to retire that character and move into a new stage of life. He’s eager to engage more actively in parenting, something he feels he missed out on before.”
Recent photographs captured by the media show Walsh, 46, and Grammer enjoying a walk in London on Tuesday, visibly in high spirits.
In these images, Walsh is seen in a flowy navy blue nap dress that subtly highlights her pregnancy.
Accompanying them were their three children: Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8.
A representative for Grammer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comments.
Walsh, a former flight attendant, and Grammer tied the knot in New York City in February 2011, two years after their first encounter on a flight in 2009.
At the time, Grammer was still married to Camille Grammer, with whom he has two children, Mason, 23, and Jude, 20.
Their marriage, which began in 1997, ended in 2010, and their divorce was finalized the next year. Camille, now 56, received a $30 million settlement.
Kelsey, who has openly confessed to being unfaithful to the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, has been married three other times.
His first marriage was to Doreen Alderman in 1982. They had one daughter, Spencer, now 41, and divorced in 1990.
Grammer’s second marriage to Leigh-Anne Csuhany lasted from 1992 to 1993.
Beyond his marriages, he fathered another daughter, Greer, now 33, with then-girlfriend Barrie Buckner.
In a 2018 interview with The Guardian, Grammer expressed regret over how his intense work schedule earlier in life meant his family life “suffered.”
The Emmy-winning actor reflected on the advantages of being an older dad, stating, “Honestly, being an older dad is a chance to try it all again. It’s a real blessing.”
In a more recent 2022 interview with People, he discussed making amends with his eldest daughter, Spencer, after years of a fluctuating relationship, affirming that they are now in a good place.
