Khloé Kardashian Discusses Post-Surgery Cosmetic Enhancement

Khloé Kardashian has been openly sharing her skin recovery process after her 2022 surgery to excise a melanoma tumor from her cheek.

On October 11, the reality TV personality from The Kardashians used Snapchat to inform her followers that she had received facial fillers to correct a depression in her cheek caused by the surgery.

“Due to the surgery and the tumor that my amazing doctor removed, there was a hollow left on the side of my face,” Kardashian mentioned in her Snapchat post, which has since disappeared, according to E!. “I waited nine months post-surgery before getting the hollow filled.”

The mother of two stated that she delayed the cosmetic procedure to ensure her safety, waiting for her doctor’s approval before proceeding.

E! also reported on before-and-after selfies that Kardashian posted, which displayed changes in her cheek structure following the filler injections.

Kardashian first spoke about her health scare two years prior when she was questioned about a bandage on her face.

“I noticed a small bump on my face and initially thought it was just a pimple, but after it didn’t go away for 7 months, I decided to have it biopsied,” she explained, adding that two different doctors conducted the biopsies and both were surprised by the rarity of such a case in someone her age.

She shared more about her experience during the third season of The Kardashians, acknowledging the severity of melanoma. “Melanoma is deadly,” she confessed in a show segment. “It turned out to be much more serious than I initially thought.”

Kardashian also expressed her intent to raise awareness about regular health checkups, recalling her own history with skin cancer. “At 19, I had melanoma removed from my back, so I have a predisposition to this disease. It’s vital for everyone, predisposed or not, to regularly check their skin. I wear sunscreen every day without fail, but no one is immune. Please take your health seriously and perform self-exams, along with annual professional checkups,” she urged.

In November 2022, she updated her followers on X (formerly Twitter) about the progress of her healing incision, noting her commitment to laser treatments and consistent use of a small facial bandage to limit scar tissue growth.
