This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy
This place is quickly becoming a new benchmark for wellness. With Lorie Pester championing the cause, a true revolution is underway for women’s health, from their first menstrual cycle to menopause.
Imagine a space in Paris, designed as a sanctuary, where women can openly discuss their pain, their cycles, and their imbalances. Where their ailments are acknowledged, and natural solutions are offered. This is the vision behind the start-up founded by Léa Déturche, Julia Veneri, and Solenne Maquere. They recognized a gap: a lack of spaces truly dedicated to intimate and menstrual health. Soon, their mission expanded to provide holistic support for women, from puberty through menopause, including pregnancy and hormonal imbalances. It’s a veritable “temple” crafted for female well-being.
Singer Lorie has herself navigated a lengthy battle with endometriosis. It was natural for her to connect with Pemlab. “We collaborated on a project nearly a year ago. From our first conversation, I absolutely loved their vision. I thought, ‘Why didn’t I think of this myself?’,” she explains. Aligned values, a commitment to caring for women, and a desire to push boundaries: Lorie now lends her voice to this cause.
Pemlab does not replace doctors. The team emphasizes that a medical diagnosis is essential. Here, the approach is complementary, focusing on alternative medicine. Consultations are personalized and empathetic. Naturopaths, osteopaths, sexologists, psychologists: all are trained in women’s health. The first naturopathy consultation is free, an opportunity to explore how diet, herbs, or supplements can enhance well-being. Ongoing sessions are priced at 70 dollars per hour, available onsite or via video call.
Whether it’s painful periods, endometriosis, PCOS, fertility issues, pregnancy-related problems, or postpartum challenges, or even more “cosmetic” symptoms like hormonal acne or hair loss, the center offers natural solutions. Specific products available include soothing balms, targeted supplements (PEA for chronic pain, omega-3 for endometriosis), and Curand Berras’ “urinary comfort.” Menstrual panties and solutions for hot flashes round out the offerings.
In just two years, over 10,000 women have been supported. The concept is gaining traction, and the team is now targeting major French cities, aiming to expand further. Corporate talks are also being initiated to raise awareness about women’s health and its impact on well-being and productivity.
Pemlab is more than just a location. It’s an invitation to reconnect with your body, to feel heard, supported, and to glow from within. And if Lorie is to be believed, it’s an opportunity not to be missed.
