The former NFL star has fathered eight children, and it was announced in May 2025 that he is expecting a ninth.
Several of Newton’s children are from his partner’s previous relationships.
“I proudly say I have 8 children. Six of them are biologically mine. And I don’t use the term stepchildren,” the ex-Carolina Panthers star stated in April 2024. “Everything that my biological children receive, everyone receives.
“I don’t play favorites,” Newton added during his appearance on “Club Shay Shay”. “I’m raising kings and queens.”

Chosen Sebastian Newton
Newton first became a father in December 2015 when his then-girlfriend, Kia Proctor, gave birth to their son, Chosen Sebastian.
“Last week, my longtime girlfriend and I were incredibly blessed to welcome our son,” Newton shared on Twitter at that time. “Our family is thrilled, and we appreciate all the kind wishes!”
He told the Charlotte Observer the following month that he picked the name to be both “masculine” and “unique.”
Sovereign-Dior Cambella Newton
In February 2017, Newton and Proctor had a daughter, Sovereign-Dior Cambella.
The ex-New England Patriots quarterback waited two months before he first shared his daughter’s name and photo on Instagram.
In the adorable, now-removed photo, Newton is seen smiling lovingly at his baby girl.
Camidas Swain Newton
Camidas Swain was born in July 2018.
“Welcome to the world, baby boy,” Proctor announced, posting a black-and-white photo from her maternity shoot, along with a blue heart emoji.
She shared the first photo of Camidas’ face in a slideshow four months later.
Cashmere Saint Newton
The duo welcomed their fourth child, son Cashmere Saint, in September 2019.
However, the couple split the following year after it was revealed that Newton had fathered a child with photographer LaReina Shaw.
In 2024, Proctor told her YouTube audience that their children are doing “great,” thanks to “a solid co-parenting schedule” of alternating weeks, though she noted it was a “work in progress.”
Shakira
Proctor had a daughter named Shakira in February 2007, well before her relationship with Newton began.
In 2017, Newton referred to Shakira as his “first child … in retrospect” in a deleted Instagram post.
He wrote, “You may not be my biological daughter, and your mom and I are not married, but nobody can tell you I’m not your dad, and they sure can’t tell me you’re not my daughter.”
Caesar Lorenzo Newton
Newton and Shaw had a son, Caesar Lorenzo, in July 2019, during his relationship with Proctor.
On Caesar’s 4th birthday in 2023, Newton wrote, “Your arrival has taught me so much, and I am constantly reminded of my PURPOSE, discipline, & DRIVE.”
Newton has openly discussed his infidelity since Caesar’s birth, describing his actions as a “humanistic mistake” that “hurt” Proctor during a 2022 episode of the “Pivot” podcast.
On “Special Forces” in February 2025, he admitted, “My relationship with my oldest daughter was impacted, and still is, because Daddy cheated on mommy. … Being accountable is crucial for me.”
Jaden
Before Caesar was born, Shaw had a son named Jaden in February 2006.
Newton has embraced Jaden as his own son.
After retiring from the NFL in 2022, Newton expressed on “Special Forces” in January 2025 that he feels pain not being able to provide as much for his children as before.
Baby girl with Jasmin Brown
Brown began dating Newton in 2022 and announced her pregnancy in October 2023 on Instagram, referring to herself humorously as “Baby Momma 3”.
“Third times a charm tour ,” the comedian joked. “Coming to a comedy stage near you.”
Brown gave birth in March 2024 but has not yet disclosed their daughter’s name publicly.
In February 2025, she posted a heartfelt tribute to her daughter, saying, “You add spice to my life and motivate me to continually evolve and improve because I know you’re watching me with those big, sweet eyes. Your laughter dissolves any stress I feel.”
Another on the way
On Mother’s Day in May 2025, Brown showcased her growing baby bump on social media.
“Feeling ALL the Love, kicks, and elbows ,” she captioned the image. “Cheers to our growing tribe.”
In the tender photo, Brown is seen cradling her exposed belly while dressed in just a white bathrobe and a necklace.
