Former Pussycat Dolls Member Jessica Sutta Faces Severe Health Issues Post-Vaccination
Jessica Sutta, once a vibrant member of the Pussycat Dolls, faced a severe setback after receiving her COVID-19 vaccination.

At age 42, Sutta recounted to the Daily Mail that her troubling health symptoms started soon after her second Moderna shot in 2021.
“I woke up with this intense muscle spasm in my right rib that just wouldn’t stop,” she shared in the interview published Tuesday. “It was like a searing knife was lodged inside me, circling my ribcage and traveling up and down my spine. I felt like I was teetering on the edge of death.”
Debilitating Symptoms and Loss of Dance
Following the vaccine, Sutta experienced constant spasms and shaking in her legs, describing the sensation as if her body had been “completely hijacked.”
The illness left her mostly confined to bed, stripping away her ability to engage in dance, an activity that defines her. “I pay the price the next day for any physical exertion; my body just reacts with flare-ups. It’s deeply frustrating because dancing is my essence,” she lamented.
Sutta battled with chronic fatigue and muscle pain, compounded by a dramatic weight loss of 50 pounds. “It was as though my body was consuming itself,” she explained. “And in a place like Hollywood, losing weight post-baby usually gets you accolades, which just adds to the complexity of the situation.”
These health issues significantly impacted her personal life, especially in caring for her 3-year-old son, M.J. “There are times I can’t even lift him or get him into the car without help,” she revealed. “On days I can’t get out of bed, I’m wracked with guilt as a mother.”
Seeking Answers and Advocacy
In her quest for answers, Sutta participated in discussions where others reported similar post-vaccination symptoms. She also connected with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during his presidential campaign in 2024 and publicly shared her experiences on her own platforms.
“I’m prepared to risk my reputation if it means this won’t happen to anyone else,” she asserted. “There are bigger names in the industry, people with far greater influence who have also suffered vaccine injuries, but they remain silent. I couldn’t stay quiet.”
While Sutta still believes in the technology behind vaccines, her experiences have led her to adopt a more cautious approach to the medical system. “I’m not against anything per se; I’m just against being ill,” she stated.
Initially misdiagnosed with multiple sclerosis, doctors dismissed the possibility that the vaccine caused her pain. However, seven months ago, she was diagnosed with vaccine-induced lupus—a condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissue. This diagnosis explained her skin rashes, joint pain, muscle soreness, and fatigue.
With a correct diagnosis, her doctors tailored a more effective treatment plan involving steroids to manage her symptoms. “I occasionally still experience muscle spasms, and though therapies and steroids have brought some improvement, I don’t want to continue living this way. I just want my old body back, to dance freely again,” she expressed.
Sutta also manages her condition with a lupus medication, hydroxychloroquine, and maintains a strict diet free from gluten and sugar.
Living With Chronic Symptoms
“Despite feeling somewhat better today, I still don’t feel like my old self,” she confessed. “My heart goes out to everyone suffering from long COVID; they can relate. You simply don’t feel like yourself anymore.”
Sutta, who initially feared she might not survive the first six months of her illness, now holds a more hopeful outlook. “I believe I will make it through this,” she affirmed. “To others suffering as I am: don’t give up. We will overcome this together,” she encouraged.
