The United States is gearing up for its 250th birthday, and Macy’s is pulling out all the stops to celebrate.

The iconic New York City Fourth of July fireworks display is ramping up this year with over 85,000 fireworks set to illuminate the skies above both the Hudson and East Rivers. Spectators will also be treated to a dazzling laser light show emanating from the Brooklyn Bridge.

For those unable to attend in person, here’s all you need to know to enjoy the spectacle from the comfort of your home—and without spending a dime.

Viewing the Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks in NYC

Mayor Zohran Mamdani recently wrapped up a lottery that distributed 100,000 free tickets for designated viewing spots along the East River at Brooklyn Bridge Park and Manhattan’s Seaport. Additional non-ticketed public viewing areas along the FDR Drive will be available, with more details to be provided on Macy’s official website.

A crew of 75 people will take up to 12 days to set up this elaborate display, which is notably unique this year as it spans both the Hudson and East Rivers simultaneously. For more in-person Fourth of July festivities, refer to the Post’s comprehensive guide.
