Fans of steamy, book-based hockey dramas rejoice, as “Off Campus” has made its debut.
The entire first season of this latest Prime Video original, based on the bestselling hockey-themed romance novels by Elle Kennedy, is now available for streaming.
The central romance of “Off Campus” Season 1 features the demure songwriter Hannah Wells (played by Ella Bright) and the charming yet notorious playboy Garrett Graham (portrayed by Belmont Cameli) from Briar U.
The duo forms an unlikely alliance when they strike a bargain: she agrees to help him improve his grades in a challenging course, and in return, he pretends to date her to boost her appeal to another crush.
Lauren Sarner, a TV critic for Page Six, praised the series as “entertaining, engaging, and surprisingly deep,” pointing out that despite the college athletes’ penchant for partying, the series shines by portraying characters dealing with trauma in uplifting story arcs rather than somber tales.
Following its initial success, the show has been greenlit for a second season, which will explore the romantic escapades of another team member.
