UK country music duo Ward Thomas have only just released their brilliant EP ‘A Shorter Story’ which contains five sublime covers of the 23-year-old’s favourite songs. But Catherine and Lizzy who last year became the first ever British country act to score a number 1 album after their second release ‘Cartwheels’ topped the Official UK Top 40, have already returned to the recording studio.
It seems their writing flow cannot be stemmed. They posted a black and white pic on their official Instagram page with their two pet dogs Twiggy and Pocket with the caption: “It’s a Fido kind of day #songwriting @martinterefe @eddrewett”
The exciting news that they are working on new materiel comes weeks before their 22-date UK tour kicks off on April 28th at G Live in Guildford. We are hopeful that even though a new album from the sisters is not due for release until at least 2018 they will premiere some brand new songs during their Cartwheels Tour 2017.
