Motel Sundown are a trio we’ve featured a number of times on Belles and Gals, with every one of their singles hitting the mark. Once again, they’ve released another winner in ‘Before Midnight’, another track which shows off the incredible harmonies of the band – while the track has a real rousing energy combined with a timeless quality that is a trademark of all of their music. The band describe themself as a unique blend of Americana, Country and Folk Rock, and you can hear all of this in this latest single. The Liverpool based trio are formed of Karen Turley and Naomi Campbell from the same town in Country Tyrone and Rob Johnson from London.
Check out the video to the song above, which pays homage to their home town of Liverpool.
In the previous year Motel Sundown have performed at Melodica Festival (Reykjavik), Country on the Coast (Portsmouth), started their own regular country night ‘The Grand Opry Sessions’ (Liverpool), and more recently, supported American Singer/Songwriter Alice Walker at the renowned Grateful Fred Sessions (Southport) and Bobby West at Jimmy’s, Liverpool.
Chicago was the band’s debut single, released on December 18th 2019, which was accompanied with a tour across Ireland and the UK. Their next single Light Of My Life was released to critical acclaim in May.
