London based Americana/folk duo O&O were one the main highlights of the C2C Festival’s homegrown acts earlier this year and now they are back with the announcement of their brand new single ‘Tears In The Rain’.
The pair have also confirmed a string of UK Festival slots throughout the summer including performances at Black Deer, Buckle and Boots and Cambridge Folk Festival.
‘Tears In The Rain’ will be released on May 25th and speaking about the track, O&O say: We wrote this song after being away from each other for a few weeks while visiting our respective home countries. ‘Tears In The Rain’ started as a song about missing someone you love but developed into a darker theme about being in a state of denial after being left in a relationship. The evening we returned to London, Obadiah was noodling on an acoustic guitar and started playing the intro, which instantly conjured a melancholic mood and reminded us of Leonard Cohen. As we put the song together, we drew on influences from 70s Country and Rock bands like America and The Eagles.” Catch the duo live at the following dates, with more to follow later in the summer:
The full line-up of Festivals you can catch O&O at are as follows:
20 May – Wood Festival, Oxfordshire
23 June – Buckle & Boots Festival, Manchester
24 June – Black Deer Festival, Kent
18 July – Sofar Sounds, Liverpool
5 August – Cambridge Folk Festival
