The fantastic ‘Buckle and Boots’ festival takes place next weekend – a real treat for all country fans in the UK. The weekend is headined by the fabulous ‘The Wandering Hearts’ and features many of our favourite artists here at Belles and Gals. Standout female artists who we’ve featured regularly include Laura Oakes, Raihanna Estrada, Jenn Bostic, Jade Helliwell, Demi Marriner, Mairead, Emily Faye and Philippa Hanna, as well as male/female duos in Jack and Ella and Gasoline and Matches. A special mention goes to Miss Winter, who will be travelling all the way from Sweden to grace the festival!
Earlier this week there was some big news for the festival, as it was announced that Buckle and Boots have formed a partnership with Australia’s largest music event, ‘The Tamworth Festival’. Five UK artists will have the opportunity to travel to the festival next year and appear on the UK Stage.
Karl Hancock (owner of the Buckle and Boots Festival):
“Having had the opportunity to go to Australia in January with Darcy from 4 Quarters Records, Laura and I had such a good experience attending Tamworth Country Music Festival and thought it would be a great platform to showcase UK talent. Meeting up with the Australian CMA board, along with the Mayor of Tamworth and a number of local officials, we decided it would be a fantastic opportunity to exchange artists between the two festivals.
As well as taking artists to Tamworth next January… we will be bringing an artist from CMAA’s Starmaker to Buckle & Boots next year.”
