Louise Parker’s ‘Chances Are’ Out Now!

Today sees the release of ‘Chances Are’, the fantastic new single from Louise Parker. (Download it here!) We featured Louise for the first time just last month with the release of the wonderful ‘Paradise’, and now she has followed it up with another fabulous track.

‘Chances Are’ has a fresh, edgy feel to it, with a killer opening line which draws you into the story straight away – ‘Chances are she’ll go home with him, it won’t be love, but it’s how it begins‘. Delivered with Louise’s emotive and heartfelt vocals, this heartbreak tale leaves the singer wondering if the relationship she wants will ever happen.

I caught up with Louise this morning and had a chat about the new release:

Hey Louise, Congratulations on the release of your new single ‘Chances Are’! It’s a fantastic track. How are your excitement levels right now?

I’m honestly surprised I haven’t needed to go to A&E, my heart must be racing way over 100 BPM! The outpouring of support has me feeling every emotion under the sun; it really reminds me why I started and continue to make music.

Your writing has a real honesty that shines through in your music. Can you give us a brief insight into how ‘Chances Are’ came about?

Thank you!
I’m always inspired by the weirdest things; for this song, I saw an advert for a dive (bar) in Texas called ‘Chances Are’. A couple of days later I had a co-write scheduled with TJ Simpson (Canada) and Lawrence Gray (USA) and I bought this idea to them. We ate food, wrote the song and headed out to an open mic afterwards.

If you had to describe your sound to anyone who hasn’t listened to you before, what would you say?

I’m a modern country singer/songwriter with American enthusiasm and good ol’ fashioned English self-deprecating humour!

To finish, tell us where we can download/stream ‘Chances Are’!

How much time do you have?!

Spotify, iTunes, Amazon, Pandora, Google Play, Napster, iHeartRadio, Shazam, Tidal, YouTube Music, just to name a few.

Also, if you have one of those Alexa speakers at home and you ask it to play ‘Chances Are’ by Louise Parker – IT WILL!!

About Louise Parker (from her bio)

I’m a modern country singer/songwriter with American enthusiasm and good ol’ fashioned English self-deprecating humour!

I have toured North America and the UK and I’ve also been performing around Europe!

I write from the heart about my travels, love and loss and the expectations and realities of being an independent artist in the 21st century. There is definitely a song for everyone in my ever growing repertoire.

In October 2017, I moved to Nashville for five months and Austin for one month with Lawrence (cajon) to play gigs and focus on honing my sound.

Upon returning to the UK in April 2018, I have been fortunate enough to play shows all over the UK; I’ve been featured on BBC Introducing in Essex AND played live on BBC Radio Kent.
