Cheley Tackett Pays Tribute To Frontline Workers In New Video

It’s been amazing how many songs have taken on a whole new meaning in these strange times we are all living through, something I wrote about for the latest edition of the Belles and Gals Magazine, in fact.
Well, Nashville’s Cheley Tackett has taken things a step further and come up with an incredibly moving new video to accompany her song “The Healer”, a track taken from her 2017 album “Buckeye” .
Written with her good friend and frequent collaborator, the late Randall Clay, this already thought provoking song becomes even more poignant when used by Cheley to pay tribute to the front line workers to whom we all owe a special debt of gratitude during this pandemic, wherever we may be in the world.
The video intersperses photographs of these modern day heroes (which she requested people send her specifically for this project ) with clips of eerily deserted Nashville streets, including the normally bustling Lower Broadway with its numerous bars… thank you to all those out there who choose to be “healers” .
