Road to C2C Festival #1 – Ashley Cooke

Following on from a 2022 that Big Loud/Back Blocks Music’s Ashley Cooke describes as being “nothing short of a whirlwind” the rising country star is gearing up to visit fans overseas for the first time to play the C2C Spotlight Stage in London (March 10) and Glasgow (March 11).

The Florida native (who cites Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts and Kelly Clarkson as among her influences) started writing her own songs age 11 and relocated to Nashville at 18 to attend the prestigious Belmont University. Surprisingly she didn’t initially opt to study music but after entering (and winning!) the school’s Country Showcase on a whim she decided to pursue music for a year… and then the pandemic hit! But a determined Ashley
built a thriving fanbase via Tik Tok and there now seems to be no stopping her! Embracing the energy of pop and depth of country, she is earning a reputation for skilfully crafted lyrics and unforgettable performances.

As mentioned earlier, 2022 was an incredible year for Ashley, which started off with her being named as Spotify’s Hot Country Artist To Watch and among other highlights saw her signing her first deals, touring with Brett Young, Cole Swindell and Jordan Davis and making her debuts at The Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry . If that wasn’t enough,  in May she made her debut at Country Radio with “Never Til Now” (with Brett Young)

Further releases throughout the year including “Getting Into“, “Back In The Saddle“, “Running Back” and “Dirt On’ Em” cemented Ashley’s position as one of music city’s most exciting emerging artists.  She rounded off 2022 with the appropriately titled release “It’s Been A Year” , a wistful ballad reflecting on her unprecedented twelve months

Following on from her C2C performances, Ashley has a busy touring schedule Stateside which includes joining duet parter Brett Young for dates across the country.
