“Oh my God, I’m so happy,” Amurri exclaimed during an interview with Page Six at a recent event honoring Connie Britton’s latest series, “The Motherhood.” “I feel like they’ve never looked this good in my entire life — not even when I was 18.”
A New Sense of Freedom
Amurri described the transformation as both liberating and incredible. “It’s so freeing and amazing to feel so comfortable in my own skin, to really look at myself and see myself proportional for the first time,” she revealed.
The daughter of Hollywood icon Susan Sarandon, Amurri had announced her plans to undergo the procedure in early April, celebrating the decision with a playful “bye bye boobies” cake.
She confessed that the desire for the surgery had been on her mind for “20 years,” but fear of judgment had held her back. “I gaslit myself into thinking I didn’t have to feel totally comfortable in my body,” Amurri admitted.
Controversy and Clarity
The former “Undateable” star faced public scrutiny over her appearance in the past, notably when critics targeted her choice of a strapless wedding dress for her marriage to Ian Hock. Amurri responded to the negative comments by stating her “size 32F boobs [had been] minding their business,” emphasizing that the criticism did not drive her decision to get surgery.
“I turned 40 last month,” she explained further. “And I thought to myself… You know, in the months leading up to my wedding, you know what? I’m turning 40 next year. I deserve this. I deserve the thing that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time.”
Amurri shared that her children, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband Kyle Martino—daughter Marlowe, 10, and sons Major, 8, and Mateo, 5—have also noticed a positive change in her demeanor. “Even my kids are like, ‘Mom, you seem so happy,'” she shared.
