Who needs a floating bubble when you can have butterflies?

Ariana Grande graced the stage during NBC’s special “Wicked: One Wonderful Night” in a bespoke Robert Wun ballgown that seemed poised to take flight.

The gown, in a soft blush pink, featured an array of three-dimensional butterflies scattered across its strapless top and full skirt.

At 32, the Oscar-nominated singer complemented her look with sheer pink gloves and butterflies adorning her ears, fingers, biceps, and wrists, enhancing the enchanting theme.

“One of the most stunning sights I’ve ever witnessed,” shared Grande’s stylist, Law Roach, in an Instagram post showcasing the outfit. “Ari in a custom @robertwun. A heartfelt thanks to Robert and his team for realizing our vision! .”

The Instagram update from Roach also zoomed in on one of the earrings, designed to resemble the intricate wings of a butterfly, complete with slender antennae.

Wun, who was born in Hong Kong and now operates out of London, is celebrated for his dramatic flair in high fashion and has outfitted icons such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and most recently, Julia Fox. His designs often feature butterflies, especially evident in his Fall 2024 collection “Time,” where they adorned hats and coat lapels as symbols of transformation and hope.

The NBC special was recorded on September 24 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, bringing Grande back together with co-star Cynthia Erivo and other members of the “Wicked” ensemble.

The two-hour broadcast, which aired on a Thursday, debuted just two weeks ahead of the theatrical release of “Wicked: For Good” scheduled for November 21. The special is also available for streaming on Peacock.

Throughout the event, Grande showcased a variety of outfits. Roach also styled her in a shimmering silver Alexander McQueen dress with accordion pleats from the brand’s Fall 2005 collection and a 1940s gown by Gilbert Adrian, the MGM costume designer known for his work on the original “Wizard of Oz” movie.

The highlight of the night was a series of performances featuring songs from both “Wicked” movies, culminating in a powerful rendition of “For Good” performed by Grande, Erivo, and original Broadway stars Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth.
