This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy
Don’t miss the chance to check out Cétautomatix, the brand-new family attraction at the park, or experience Toutatis, the record-breaking French coaster that zooms at 110 km/h.
The start of the school year often signifies major spending for families, not just on school necessities but also impacting the leisure budget. Yet, September can be the perfect time for one last getaway before the fall season, especially when amusement parks offer particularly attractive pricing. This year, Parc Astérix is doing just that with a deal likely to appeal to budget-conscious families.
The renowned French theme park has decided to slash its prices to attract visitors during this typically slower period. They are offering a “Wednesday Afternoon Ticket” at an unbeatable price. This special deal is available on Wednesdays September 3, 10, 17, and 24, 2025, valid for entry from 2 PM to 6 PM. Tickets must be purchased exclusively through the park’s website and can be reserved until the day before the visit. Each ticket costs just 30 euros for both adults and children. What’s more, parking, usually priced at 20 euros, is completely free with this offer—a significant saving!
This promotion is even more appealing as it coincides with the launch of Cétautomatix, the park’s latest attraction that opened in August 2025. Billed as “Europe’s first family-friendly spinning roller coaster with propulsion,” this new ride is accessible to anyone over 1 meter tall and promises a unique experience with steep slopes, tight turns, and unexpected accelerations. Cétautomatix is set to be a highlight attraction as the year winds down.
Parc Astérix is undoubtedly banking on this new attraction to draw crowds in September, a month that is traditionally less busy. The special offer allows visitors to experience this new thrill at a reduced cost, while still enjoying the park’s other famous rides like Toutatis, OzIris, and Tonnerre 2 Zeus. It’s worth noting that entrance remains free for children under 3 years old, and the promotional offer is non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and does not grant access to special events at the park.
