Clay Aiken, the celebrated “American Idol” veteran, made a special appearance with his son, 16-year-old Parker, at the premiere of the Broadway hit “Boop!” on Saturday evening.

For the event, Aiken, 46, chose a stylish ensemble consisting of a blue turtleneck and a striking orange blazer with stripes, paired with gray pants.
Parker opted for a sleek look, wearing a black suit complemented by a patterned shirt.
The pair were photographed smiling alongside Parker’s uncle, David Foster, adding a family touch to the occasion.
Parker was born in August 2008, a joyous arrival for Aiken and Jaymes Foster, David Foster’s sister and a well-known composer.
Family First
Aiken and Jaymes Foster decided to have Parker through in vitro fertilization and agreed to co-parent as best friends. Aiken emphasized the importance of a nurturing environment for children, regardless of the circumstances, in a 2008 interview with People magazine.
Coming out as gay around the same time, Aiken expressed his commitment to honesty, particularly concerning his son, stating he never wanted to “lie or hide things” from him.
In a 2009 interview with AP Radio, David Foster praised Aiken as an “outstanding father.” He found it completely logical for Aiken to choose to have a child with his best friend, describing his sister Jaymes as a “born mother.” He also noted the close bond between Parker’s parents, who originally met during their “American Idol” days.
Keeping Life Private
While Aiken and Jaymes have generally kept Parker away from the media spotlight, he did make a notable appearance on television during an episode of “Celebrity Family Feud.” In this family face-off, which aired last August, Aiken’s family competed against the team of David Foster and his wife, Katharine McPhee.
