Jacob Elordi, too, has been subtly embodying his character during premieres in cities like Los Angeles, London, and Paris, sporting high-neck collars and sleek suits that mirror his role as the enigmatic gentleman from the classic tale.
However, at the Sydney premiere, the 28-year-old actor took it a step further by wearing a striking accessory directly from his character: a custom-made gold tooth.
A Touch of Heathcliff on the Red Carpet
Jonathan Raksha, the founder of Maison Raksha, revealed to Page Six Style that the 14-karat gold cap is the exact one Elordi wears in the film.
The gold tooth, which caps his right incisor, is adorned with two 1.3-mm white diamonds and features a monogram of the initials “C” and “H” for Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw, intricately designed in an ornate font.
Raksha, who has previously created custom dental grills for Elordi and counts celebrities like Sabrina Carpenter, Kylie Jenner, and Kendrick Lamar among his clientele, mentioned that he personally engraved the initials and infused the piece with layers of meaning.
He explained, “It’s an age-old technique because for this project, we wanted it to resemble a classic, antique piece of jewelry, capturing that romantic essence.” Elordi had given Raksha the freedom to choose the font, emphasizing the character’s initials.
Adding a unique touch, Raksha noted, “Last minute, I suggested adding the diamonds in star settings to give the piece some extra flair,” pointing out that each diamond symbolizes the iconic lovers from the story.
Elordi’s recent appearances have featured more than just this gold tooth; prior to the “Wuthering Heights” press tour, Robbie presented him with matching signet rings designed by Cece Jewellery, inspired by the film and its original novel.
The rings are intricately designed with two skeletons intertwined among roses and thorns, engraved with a famous line from Emily Brontë’s novel: “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.”
