The Tour Inspired by “Wuthering Heights” Begins
Margot Robbie has launched the promotional tour for her upcoming film with a visit to “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Monday, sporting a black lace dress by Alexander McQueen that pays dark tribute to her character in the movie.

In her role as Catherine Earnshaw opposite Jacob Elordi’s Heathcliff, Robbie embodied the classic literary figure through a translucent lace dress adorned with embroidery, featuring a high collar and a chest opening trimmed with ruffles at the neckline.
The dress showcased a dipped hemline, rising to mid-thigh at the front and cascading in ruffled layers to the back. Its long sleeves, flaring slightly at the cuffs, also hinted at the mid-19th century setting of the tale.
Elegant Styling Choices
The 35-year-old Australian actress styled her blonde hair in a crimped, romantic half-ponytail, rounding off her outfit with stunning black heeled sandals by McQueen, which were decorated with rosary bead accents around the ankles.
The previous day, Robbie had donned a similarly Victorian-inspired black dress by Roberto Cavalli, characterized by bell sleeves and an ultra-short hemline.
Styled by Andrew Makumal, Robbie paired the look with glossy black Christian Louboutin heels that featured a daring 130mm heel—over five inches on a sharp incline. She maintained the crimped hair and added a dramatic touch with a black velvet choker featuring a large pendant.
Symbolic Accessories
Robbie and Elordi also introduced matching gold rings crafted by Cece Jewellery, which were specially designed with a skeleton couple encircled by roses and thorns, alongside the novel’s most iconic quote.
The jewelry pieces were a personal gift from Robbie to Elordi, as told to Page Six Style. The designer shared that the rings represent Heathcliff and Catherine’s timeless love, with skeletons posed as they are on the famous movie poster, intertwined with roses and thorns to depict passion, beauty, and sorrow.
Embossed inside the rings is the quote from Emily Brontë, “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same,” flanked by the initials C&H, signifying a perpetual bond between the characters—and their souls.
Cece Fein-Hughes, a well-known British jeweler, has recently become a favorite among celebrities for her exquisite handcrafted gold rings, pendants, and other items. Her clientele includes big names like Taylor Swift, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rihanna, and many others.
A Trend of Method Dressing on Tour
From “The Substance” to “Wicked,” and “Challengers,” method dressing has notably become a trend in recent years for cast press tour wardrobes.
It’s worth noting that Robbie and her distinctive stylist pioneered this approach during the 2023 promotional tour for “Barbie,” where she played the titular role. Her carefully curated appearances even inspired a coffee table book detailing her red carpet looks.
With the Emerald Fennell-directed film set to premiere on Valentine’s Day, the anticipation is high to see what Robbie and the real-life Catherine and Heathcliff will bring to the promotional circuit in the coming weeks.
