Both actresses have embodied the fabulous Elle Woods at different times in their careers, with the emerging star, Minetree, often seen channeling Witherspoon’s signature vibrant pink during her promotional tour for “Elle.”
At a recent UK screening for the Prime series, Minetree graced the pink carpet in a striking magenta dress.
A Nod to Vintage Glamour
The dress, a vintage piece by Stella McCartney, showcased a strapless bustier top and a flowing train. Minetree, 25, complemented the look with an elegant updo featuring curls and makeup in shades of pink.
Interestingly, Witherspoon was the first to wear this outfit at the 2014 Met Gala, which revolved around the theme “Charles James: Beyond Fashion.” The ensemble aligns seamlessly with the style of Elle Woods.
This wasn’t the first instance where Minetree took inspiration from Witherspoon’s wardrobe.
From Screen to Real Life
During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Minetree chose the exact Marc Jacobs dress Witherspoon wore to the “Legally Blonde” premiere in 2001.
Even when not directly borrowing from Witherspoon’s past outfits, Minetree and her stylist, Molly Dickson, consistently draw inspiration from the character Elle Woods.
For a promotional event in New York City, Minetree wore a sequined Dolce & Gabbana dress that was featured in the original “Legally Blonde” movie. While the dress in the film was blue, Minetree opted for a fitting pink version for the event.
