This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy
Luann de Lesseps did not hold back when she commented on Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer’s recent promotional venture with the French skincare line RoC, which also featured Bethenny Frankel.
“Good for them. It looks like they were in need of some money, so it’s perfect,” de Lesseps remarked during an interview with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea,” hosted by Evan Real and Danny Murphy.
“It’s just a cash grab, what else is there to say?” the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star reiterated.
De Lesseps expressed indifference about Morgan and Singer’s collaboration with Frankel, who she famously does not get along with. “They can maintain any relationship and be friends with whomever they choose,” she stated.
“I’m not in charge of them anymore. I’m not dictating their actions,” she added.
Shedding light on the trio’s quick trip to Paris in April, de Lesseps mentioned, “They went and returned in a flash—because we’ve got our own show to work on.”
The cabaret singer also gave a sneak peek into the upcoming “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th,” where she will make a dramatic entrance into a musical performance via zip-line.
Faced with the choice between zip-lining again or participating in another sponsored campaign with Frankel, de Lesseps playfully responded, “Oh girl, give me a zip-line any day. That way, I can zip right out of there!”
The longstanding rivalry between the two original “RHONY” cast members dates back several years.
Although they reconciled in 2019, their feud reignited in March 2023 when de Lesseps, aged 61, abruptly left a Broadway showing of “Bad Cinderella” upon realizing Frankel, aged 55, was seated nearby.
The two exchanged barbs throughout the year, with Frankel criticizing her “obsessive” former friend and de Lesseps accusing Frankel of “trashing” their Bravo series.
However, in July 2024, the women appeared to make amends in a widely shared video at a Hamptons event, including Frankel’s daughter, Bryn Hoppy. “Bethenny and Luann were happy to see each other and were eager to resolve their issues. They managed to set their differences aside,” a source close to de Lesseps exclusively revealed to Page Six.
Yet, in typical “Real Housewives” style, the peace was short-lived. Only two days later, the cabaret performer suggested that Frankel used her daughter as a ploy to reach out to her.
Regarding de Lesseps’ relationships with Morgan and Singer, the trio has been busy shooting their “RHONY” revival, “The Golden Life,” in Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Dorinda Medley and Kelly Bensimon.
Page Six first reported in January that they had inked a deal with E! for the new series.
When questioned why she isn’t part of the reboot, Frankel informed her Instagram followers that joining the series would not be “good for business.”
