Martha Stewart Rejects ‘Golden Bachelorette’ Spot, Claims Men Aren’t Attractive Enough

Update on :
Martha Stewart Says ‘Absolutely Not’ to Being on The Golden Bachelorette Because ‘The Guys Aren’t Hot Enough’

It’s likely that Martha Stewart enjoys a spectacular rose garden at her estate, although she has no plans to share any of those roses on television in the near future.

When questioned by Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live about her interest in becoming the star of ABC’s mature-age dating show The Golden Bachelorette, the lifestyle expert responded with a definitive no. Even when Cohen raised the stakes, suggesting a hypothetical offer from ABC of $1 million or even $10 million per episode, the 83-year-old Stewart stood her ground. Her blunt reason? “The guys aren’t hot enough,” she declared.

The Golden Bachelorette — a counterpart to The Golden Bachelor, which enjoyed a successful season last year — premiered on ABC recently, featuring 61-year-old Joan Vassos who distributes roses to suitors aged 60 and above. There was some speculation about ABC’s interest in Stewart for the role, especially after soap opera icon Susan Lucci revealed in May that her publicist had been approached by The Golden Bachelorette to see if she would be interested in participating. However, Lucci ultimately felt the show was not a good fit for her.
