Morris Chestnut’s Family Revealed: Inside the Lives of His Son Grant and Daughter Paige!

The star of ‘Reasonable Doubt’, Morris Chestnut, takes immense pride in his role as a father to his two children, shared with his wife, Pam Byse.

Boasting a career spanning over three decades, Morris Chestnut has established himself as a prominent figure in the Hollywood film and TV sectors. Yet, for him, his greatest accomplishment lies in his role as a father to his son Grant and daughter Paige.

The Reasonable Doubt actor and his wife, Pam Byse, have been a strong couple since tying the knot in 1995. Their family began to grow shortly after their marriage with the arrival of Grant, and in November 1998, they welcomed Paige, further expanding their loving family.

“Ever since you two were born, you have inspired and motivated me,” Morris expressed during his 2022 Hollywood Walk of Fame star acceptance speech. “Watching you grow has been miraculous. I love you both dearly, and I’m so grateful you’re part of all that I am.”

Despite his constant presence in the media, Morris has successfully kept his family life out of the public eye over the years. He has mentioned that he ensures his public persona does not interfere with his parenting, always encouraging his children to act ethically.

“My public image never influences my parenting,” he discussed with Rolling Out in June 2023. “I use my experiences to teach lessons, but they do not dictate how I parent.”

Morris acknowledges the parenting challenges that come with a demanding acting career, including missing important moments in his children’s lives. Nevertheless, he ensures that his work does not compromise the quality time he spends with his family.

“When I’m home for three months, I dive back into family life,” he shared with Rolling Out. “I’m committed to making positive strides as a father.”

Morris and Pam began their journey as parents over two decades ago with their son, Grant.

Morris has often spoken about the strong influence his own father had on him before his passing, a relationship that drove him to foster a similar bond with his own children, especially his son.

“Growing up, I was a latchkey kid,” Morris reflected in a 2022 interview with Brooklyn Mclinn. “My parents worked a lot… What I missed having with my father, I strive to provide for my son… I aim to be present for my son in ways my father wished he could have been.”

Grant was raised in Calabasas, California, alongside his sister and parents. Unlike his father, Grant did not pursue a career in the entertainment industry. After high school, he ventured off to college to explore different professional avenues.

Grant attended the University of Colorado Boulder starting in 2015, majoring in business administration according to his LinkedIn profile. He later worked for several notable companies including EF Educational Tours, Atlas Consulting Group, and Oracle. During his college years, Grant participated in a challenging business competition in 2018.

As one of four students chosen from his university, Grant competed in the Proctor and Gamble CEO challenge. His team excelled, winning first place in the third round of their regional competition before traveling to Dubai for the final round, where they placed fifth globally.

He completed his studies in 2019, earning a bachelor’s degree in strategic communications with a focus on marketing and advertising. Currently, Grant works as an account executive at NuVet Labs, a company known for its high-quality pet supplements, as noted on his LinkedIn.

Grant’s father has always emphasized the importance of voice and influence, regardless of the industry.

“I always taught my son to use his voice and articulation as a means of empowerment,” Morris stated on The Kelly Clarkson Show in January 2022. “He has the potential to drive change.”

Paige Chestnut, 25

Paige Chestnut was born on Nov. 26, 1998, enlarging the Chestnut family.

Raised in Calabasas like her brother, Paige decided to follow in her father’s footsteps into the spotlight. She is a commercial, print, and runway model represented by Wunder Management.

Paige’s modeling career started taking shape in 2017 when she debuted on the runway during Los Angeles Fashion Week, as seen on her Instagram. Her career has since blossomed as she navigates the fashion scenes in both Los Angeles and New York.

She has modeled for designers like Michael Ngo, Marisa P. Clark, and Nyki Allen, and appeared in magazines, making her first magazine appearance in the March 2019 issue of ESSENCE.

During the pre-pandemic period, Morris was a proud spectator at Paige’s first New York Fashion Week show for designer Matt Sarafa in February 2020.

“It was a thrilling experience working with such an incredible team and models,” she shared on Instagram about her NYFW debut. “I’m thrilled it was with such a talented, fun, and grounded group.”

Morris captured the moment and shared it on Instagram with a video of Paige walking the runway. “There’s a saying, ‘A daughter may outgrow your lap, but never your heart.’ That holds so true,” he captioned the post.

As a devoted father of two, Morris’ legacy reaches far beyond his professional achievements.

“My legacy is about leaving my children well-prepared and my family secure,” he explained to Mclinn. “That’s what matters to me.”
