This winter, “all shades of gray are welcome,” says the expert. “Whether light or dark, taupe gray is so chic… this color works with any outfit and its mineral essence conveys stability.” To really embrace the trend, try a metallic gray like Funmetal from OPI’s Metallic Megamix collection.
The Timeless Brown
A perennial favorite, brown continues to dominate winter manicures. “It suits all skin tones, reflects the elegance of natural materials, and goes with any outfit. It’s THE color I turn to when I opt for a semi-permanent polish and want to make sure I won’t tire of my choice over the next 2 to 3 weeks,” Alexandra explains. Her favorite brown? Animal Prints Take Over
Already popular in fashion, animal prints are now making their mark on nails. Particularly trendy is the tortoiseshell pattern, which has been in vogue for several seasons. Stylish yet understated, it fits any outfit and occasion. You can go full tortoiseshell, apply it to just a few nails, or use it for a French manicure. “Not the artistic type? Try pre-decorated fake nails that can last between 2 days and 2 weeks: in 20 minutes, you get a perfect manicure.“
Celebrity-Inspired Manicures
Celebrities are a great source of inspiration for flawless manicures. This winter, take a cue from top model Hailey Bieber’s cinnamon nails. This look combines shades of brown and rust with lovely velvety reflections, perfect for warming up in the cold weather.
