After confirming their choices, high school students will start receiving responses from their chosen programs. Here’s a guide to the next steps beginning June 2.
High school seniors, apprentices, and students seeking to change their educational paths who wish to pursue higher education go through Parcoursup. Candidates register on this platform, create their profiles, select their preferred programs (such as universities, vocational training, technical institutes, etc.), and await responses from these institutions. The process is designed to be fair, guiding students based on their academic performance and the specific criteria of each program. After confirming their choices, students will start to receive responses regarding their applications. Let us guide you through this new phase.
Responses from Chosen Programs
Starting June 2, 2025, students will be able to view the responses given by the programs for each expressed interest and sub-interest. As time goes on, admission offers can be checked at any moment. This year, choices that are still pending in the main phase can also be ranked. Remember, whenever an offer is declined, it opens up spots that are then offered to other candidates. Make sure to check back regularly, as new offers are updated daily.
How to Respond to Admission Offers Starting in June?
Note that you may receive one or more admission offers, simultaneously or at different times, but you can only accept one at a time. Here are the 4 types of responses from programs:
► A “Yes” indicates an admission offer. You will then need to accept or decline this choice, waiting a few hours initially, as Parcoursup will only be in “consultation” mode at the start of the admission phase.
► A “Yes-if” (for a choice in a bachelor’s program) indicates an admission offer that, if accepted, comes with a support program to strengthen your skills.
► “On the waiting list” means you are in the waiting list. This list updates as spots become available. If you’re high on this list, you might receive an admission offer soon after other candidates withdraw. If you’re in the middle or bottom of the list, consider accepting an offer on another choice. If you remain on the waiting list for all choices between June 30 and July 3, you will be able to rank your choices in order of preference. “This order of priority will be considered by the platform especially for sending out the last offers at the end of the admission phase,” the ministry explains.
► A “No” (only for a choice in a selective program) means that the program’s review committee did not select your application. You must then wait for the supplementary phase of Parcoursup.
Remember: you typically have a few days to finalize your admission in case of a positive response. Deadlines are displayed in your profile, next to the admission offer.
What Are the Next Steps in the Parcoursup Calendar?
The Parcoursup calendar for 2025 consists of three main stages that span from November to June: “I get informed,” “I register and make my choices,” and “I receive responses from programs and make a decision.” After preparing their orientation project at the end of the year and researching different programs, candidates are invited to make their choices. Here is the Parcoursup 2025 calendar with detailed steps:
- End of May/Early June 2025: responses from programs
- Between June 6 and June 10, 2025, ranking of choices you wish to keep.
- Mid-June 2025: start of the supplementary admission phase
- Thursday, July 10, 2025: end of the main Parcoursup phase
- Thursday, September 11, 2025: end of the supplementary Parcoursup phase
To assist students, as well as parents, the government last year launched a dedicated training site for admissions (entrainement.parcoursup.fr). Here, you will find a wealth of information and quizzes to ensure you understand everything, while waiting for the next steps.
