On a brisk Sunday, the renowned “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actress was spotted at the Balenciaga fall/winter 2025-2026 womenswear show. Gellar was clad in an all-black outfit that echoed the iconic style of her character from the beloved television series.
The event, held at Les Invalides, saw Gellar sporting a form-fitting, crewneck mini dress paired with sheer tights and sleek, pointed-toe pumps. Her ensemble was completed with a stylish leather trench coat that fell to her knees.
Styling and Accessories
Gellar enhanced her bold look with rectangular sunglasses and striking silver earrings. She also carried an Hermès Kelly bag, a high-end accessory currently retailing for $9,500 at Revolve.
The actress styled her blonde hair in soft curls, parted to the side, complementing the dark, dramatic theme of her attire. Her makeup featured a smokey eye accentuated with ample black eyeliner and a subtle nude lipstick.
The fashion show was a hotspot for celebrities, with stars like Jessica Alba, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lori Harvey, and Barbara Palvin all seated in the front row.
Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Emotional Tribute
This appearance at the Balenciaga show was Gellar’s first public outing following the tragic death of Michelle Trachtenberg, her former “Buffy” co-star, last month at age 39.
In the wake of Trachtenberg’s passing, Gellar took to Instagram to honor her departed friend. She posted various images, including scenes from “Buffy,” red carpet moments, and a heartfelt photo of Trachtenberg holding one of Gellar’s children.
Gellar’s tribute was deeply moving, partly quoting from the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” Season 5 finale, but directed personally at Trachtenberg: “Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you.’ ,” she wrote.
Both actresses had previously worked together on “All My Children” before Trachtenberg joined “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” in its fifth season back in 2000.
Trachtenberg was found unresponsive in her New York City apartment on February 26, following several health issues including a reported liver transplant. She later suffered cardiac arrest and passed away, with her cause of death currently undetermined, as confirmed by The Post.
