Collaboration with Lorraine Schwartz
Jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz, a close associate of the Kardashian clan and Elizabeth Taylor, collaborated with Balenciaga for this collection curated by creative director Demna. Schwartz, who had designed for both celebrities, acquired the Mike Todd Diamond Pendant Earrings at a Christie’s auction in 2011 for a staggering $374,500.
To complete Kim’s runway look, Schwartz crafted two additional necklaces, featuring about 250 carats of diamonds.
Elizabeth Taylor’s Timeless Style
Elizabeth Taylor was famed for her extraordinary collection of jewels, among them the chandelier earrings gifted by her then-husband Mike Todd in 1957, which she cherished and wore for many years. In a tribute to Taylor, Kardashian wore a beige, form-fitting slip dress with lace trim, reminiscent of Taylor’s attire in the 1958 movie “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.”
She completed her look with a matching fur coat and pumps.

Kim’s Deep Admiration for Taylor
Kardashian’s fascination with Elizabeth Taylor is well-documented, having been a fan for many years. In 2011, she conducted what would become Taylor’s last interview for Harper’s Bazaar.
More recently, Kardashian discussed her admiration for the actress during a BBC interview, noting her draw to Taylor’s blend of influence and beauty. They had planned to meet, but unfortunately, Taylor fell ill.

Ultimately, their conversation took place over the phone, where they discussed various topics, including their roles in advocacy.
Meanwhile, Kardashian has also developed a significant relationship with Balenciaga’s Demna, marking his final show at Balenciaga before his move to Gucci. She was officially named a Balenciaga ambassador in January 2024, previously showcasing a sleek black ensemble in 2022, and is known for wearing Demna’s designs, including her notable faceless outfit at the 2021 Met Gala.
She also introduced a T-shirt featuring her images as part of the fall 2025 collection.
Before her runway moment, Kardashian was seen in Paris wearing a neon pink dress and pantaboots by Balenciaga.
