It appears that Elizabeth Taylor isn’t the sole classic Hollywood inspiration for Swift’s latest showgirl theme. A recent video posted by Taylor Nation on Instagram showcases the artist donning a shimmering red bodysuit, a platinum blonde bob wig, and a beauty mark carefully placed above her lip.

Similar to the character Ophelia from Shakespeare’s “Hamlet,” Monroe was known for her tragic life. Despite her high-profile relationships and immense fame, Monroe faced battles with depression and addiction, which ultimately led to her premature death from a drug overdose in 1962 at the age of 36.
