Introducing Walker County

Siblings often seem to have a special connection and that is definitely the case when it comes to Walker County, a duo consisting of sisters Sophia Dawn and Ivy Dene. Hailing from Sulphur Springs IN they are now following their dreams of a musical career in Nashville, having relocated there four years ago after being frequent visitors to music city to play the honky tonks of Lower Broadway. And their future looks very bright, having recently signed to Warner Music Nashville.
Ivy, the elder of the two, tackles lead vocals with Sophia harmonising with her sister as well as playing drums …their father helps “keep it in the family” by playing lead guitar. Their music is rooted in trad country with touches of southern rock and soul added to the mix, just give their 2018 release “Time Machines” a listen and you’ll see what I mean…

Having already shared the stage with some massive names in country music, including Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn and Martina Mcbride, I’m really excited to see what the future holds for these ladies …they are definitely ones to watch and will no doubt be winning over more fans in the coming months when they are joining Jimmie Allen and Michael Ray on the next CMT tour throughout the States.
