Irish country/rock duo The Rising are taking over 2020 by releasing a brand new single every month across the next twelve months.
They kicked off the exciting series by sharing a unique cover of the Girls Aloud hit ‘Love Machine’ in February. Their country spin on the pop classic gave the track a refreshing makeover and allowed them to totally make it their own.
The follow up to this song will be an original release in the form of ‘Just Another Name’ which will be dropping on March 27th.
The track is an inspirational anti-bullying anthem that runs two parallel themes, bullying and a toxic relationship.
The lyrics are all about the idea that no matter how much someone may push you down or try to make you feel worthless, things will get better and that person will eventually just be another name in the history book of your life.
Speaking of the lyrical message, The Rising’s Chantelle and Chris said: “We were both badly bullied in school. So we wrote about our experiences and how we both found solace in music. Hence the idea that “some day when my name is in lights, you’ll look back and see what you missed”. We are sure many people can relate to that message”.
Fans will no doubt be inspired by the thoughtful lyrics running through the track and will take solace in the fact that there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel if they are going through a dark time at this point in their lives.
The new single ‘Just Another Name’ from The Rising will be officially released on March 27th – and will be followed by another track in April.
