Callista Clark Announces Release Of Debut Album And UK Dates Supporting Brett Young

Emerging talent Callista Clark, who recently made such an impression on her first trip to the UK to play the prestigious C2C Festival, is definitely a new face with an old soul. Her all-round talent defies her age, and having already demonstrated her gift of insightful songwriting and impressive vocals on her EP “Real To Me” the rising star has announced that her debut full-length album “Real To Me : The Way I Feel” will be arriving on October 14th via Big Machine Records. The collection sees the 18 year old Georgia native working with producer Nathan Chapman and expanding her EP to 10 tracks, with Callista saying ” I have been waiting so long and trying my best to get all the new songs as perfect as I can. The ‘Real To Me’ era is not over yet! Can’t wait for y’all to hear it.”.

She has given fans a sneak preview of the album with the release of the brand new track ” Sad ” , which despite it’s title is a breezy, tongue-in-cheek anthem which actually sees her celebrating her freedom after a break-up. Watch the lyric video here

Co-written by Callista alongside Sarah Buxton and Jimmy Robbins, she describes ” Sad” as ” one of my favourite songs I’ve ever written. It’s super lighthearted and perfect for the summer. I wanted the lyrics of this song to be fun and sarcastic – the exact opposite of how I was feeling going through a heartbreak. Manifesting not being sad”.

Following on from her first top 20 at Country radio, ” It’s Cause I Am”, which saw Callista become Country radio’s most successful new artist debut of 2021, she shows no signs of slowing down with her soulful new single ” Gave It Back Broken” currently rising up the charts. And there’s great news for her UK fans as it’s just been announced that she will be opening for fellow Big Machine artist Brett Young on his November tour dates .
