Kanye West’s Claims and Custody Battle with Kim Kardashian

Kanye West has publicly stated that he hasn’t seen his son Saint at all “this year,” despite photographic evidence to the contrary showing them together in January.

The 47-year-old rapper and fashion mogul voiced his frustrations on X (formerly known as Twitter) early Tuesday morning, leaving out details. Photos from January depict West and his three youngest children during a shopping trip at a 7-Eleven in Tokyo’s Ginza district.

His posts were part of a broader outburst in which he expressed his struggles to find “the right” attorney to help him contest his ex-wife Kim Kardashian for custody of their four children.

Ye’s Plea to Celebrities and Public Statements

In his tweets, West—who now prefers to be called Ye—questioned why high-profile figures like Beyoncé, Jay Z, Rihanna, Elon Musk, and former President Trump were seemingly passive as Kim allegedly took his children away. He suggested that others are blaming his behavior on his childhood, but clarified that his main issue is being prevented from parenting his children.

He passionately stated that his ability to be a father has been compromised, notably aggravated by backlash over his political choices, such as his wearing of the “Make America Great Again” hat. West emphasized that he seeks not just to see his children but to actively raise them, asserting himself as a responsible and loving father.

Further expressing his distress, West tweeted, “I HAVE TO SUPPRESS THE FACT THAT MY KIDS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME AND EVERYONE JUST WATCHES.” He mentioned needing a strategy to enforce his parental rights.

These comments echo his previous allegations in March where he claimed conflicts with those who allegedly restricted his financial and parental access, even hinting at legal threats against him.

Visitation Struggles and Feud Intensification

West also likened the sporadic visits with his children—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—to a type of imprisonment, revealing the emotional toll of the restricted access.

The discord between West and Kardashian flared up again following his decision to involve their oldest daughter in a music project with controversial rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, against Kardashian’s wishes. This led to an urgent legal intervention attempted by Kardashian to prevent the song’s release, though West proceeded with the launch despite initially agreeing not to.

Complications increased when West planned to host the Tate brothers, Andrew and Tristan, known for their legal troubles in Romania, at his home during a visit from North. Kardashian cut the visit short to safeguard her daughter from the controversial figures.

Kim Kardashian’s Protective Measures

Sources close to the situation reported that Kardashian’s primary concern is her children’s safety and shielding them from West’s unpredictable behavior. Following these incidents, Kardashian, aged 44, has reportedly considered revising their custody arrangement, according to TMZ.

The former couple had previously agreed on joint physical and legal custody during their 2022 divorce settlement.

Despite his ongoing custody dispute, West has made headlines with his controversial remarks about his reluctance to have children with Kardashian after the initial months of their relationship, attributing the continuation to divine will.
