At the age of 68, Claire Chazal maintains an impressively fit physique, thanks in large part to her commitment to regular and rigorous exercise. Discover her method.

This Tuesday, March 18, Claire Chazal will take the helm of a special Dalida-themed episode of “Le Grand Echiquier” on France 2, alongside André Manoukian. At 68 years old, the television host must take extra care of her health to keep up with the demanding pace of TV broadcasting. Her secret? A strong focus on discipline and physical fitness.

In a recent interview with Gala magazine, the former TF1 news anchor revealed her passion for a specific type of exercise that helps her maintain a toned and slender figure. She is an avid participant in classical ballet classes, which she attends multiple times a week at the Harmonic studio in Paris Bastille. “I’ve been going almost every day for the past fifteen years, so I’ve had time to make friends, and it’s a class where you don’t ‘watch’ others, you’re there for the love of dance, the effort,” she shared with the journalist. Ballet is a comprehensive workout for the body. Besides teaching discipline (which Claire Chazal has in spades), dancing strengthens all muscles and boosts cardio-respiratory capacity. Evidently, these classes have been effective, as the television star still sports the same slim figure she had when she first appeared on TV in the 1990s.

The interview with Gala also provided Claire Chazal an opportunity to discuss her thoughts on aging. “It completely terrifies me to see in the mirror each morning the body changing, the skin loosening, especially since I work in a visually focused profession,” she admitted candidly. However, she is not considering any surgical procedures: “I have nothing against those who choose to undergo them, be they men or women. But I am somewhat fearful of potential consequences, of failures. Sometimes I see results that don’t appeal to me at all.
