This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy

- 250 gr of flour
- 3 eggs
- 50 cl of milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 25 gr of fine sugar
- 25 gr of melted butter
- 3 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder (not Nesquik!)
- 200 gr of dark chocolate

Start by preparing the crêpes: sift the flour into a bowl. Add the pinch of salt, fine sugar, and eggs. Mix well. Gradually pour in the milk while stirring continuously to prevent lumps. Add the melted butter. Stir the batter until smooth. -

Pour half of the batter into another bowl and mix in the cocoa powder. Add a little milk if the batter thickens too much. Let both batters rest for a while. -

Lightly oil a crêpe pan, heat it up, and cook the crêpes on each side. Stack a regular crêpe and a chocolate crêpe together. Roll them tightly and wrap in plastic wrap. Repeat for the remaining crêpes. Place the crêpe rolls in the fridge for 1 hour. -
To finish
Remove the plastic wrap and cut the crêpe rolls into slices about 1.5 to 2 cm thick. Arrange the crêpe slices on a serving plate. Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler and pour it into a small bowl. Serve immediately. You can accompany this mini-fondue with fruits (bananas, apples…) or biscuits, or dried fruits… anything goes!
