Preparing the Swiss chard
Wash the chard, cut off the green leaves but keep them. Chop into pieces, removing the filaments.

Cooking the chard
Cook the chard in salted water for 10 minutes and drain. Cook the leaves separately in salted water for 5 minutes.

Drain the greens. In a skillet, melt 20 g of butter, add chopped garlic and the chard greens. -

Preparing the gratin
In a gratin dish, place the cooked chard pieces and leaves on top. Pour over the mixture of milk, eggs, cornstarch, salt, heavy cream, nutmeg, and pepper. Sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese (50 g).

Bake for 35 minutes at 200°C (392°F) thermostat 6-7.
