This bizarre French customer habit is driving shop owners crazy
Endorsed by 60 Million Consumers, this treatment reduces pigmentation spots without harming the skin and is available in pharmacies!
Pigmentation spots are a stubborn issue many of us have encountered. Whether they arise from acne scars, repeated sun exposure, pregnancy, genetics, age, or certain skin conditions, these spots typically result from an overproduction of melanin. To combat them, many turn to brightening treatments, peels, and targeted products.
In its special July 2025 issue, 60 Million Consumers delved into the world of skin lightening products, particularly those illegally sold and aimed at Black women who are prone to hyperpigmentation. Some of these products contain corticosteroids or ingredients banned from the cosmetics market for years, such as hydroquinone. The publication then recommends a safe and effective product for all skin tones: Eucerin’s Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector. It contains Thiamidol, “an interesting new depigmenting agent that is active and well-tolerated. This product is highly recommendable for small areas,” says Prof. Antoine Mahé, head of dermatology at the Civil Hospitals of Colmar. Clinical and dermatological studies have shown that this ingredient not only significantly reduces dark spots but also prevents their recurrence.
The Eucerin Anti-Pigment Spot Corrector comes in a gel form with an applicator designed to target only the areas with discoloration. “The first results are visible after two weeks and continue to improve with regular use,” explains Eucerin on their website.
The icing on the cake? This product is available in pharmacies and drugstores for less than $15. Approved by 60 Million Consumers and budget-friendly… it’s definitely worth giving a try!
