Taylor Swift has fully embraced the world of audiobooks.

Just 24 hours after she expressed her fondness for audiobooks, Swift’s new documentary for the Eras Tour, titled “The End of an Era,” premiered on Disney+. The opening episode features her listening to the hit 2024 thriller “The God of The Woods.”

Authored by Liz Moore, the novel traces the mysterious vanishing of a young girl at a summer camp in the Adirondacks in 1975, and the ensuing unraveling of deeply hidden family secrets uncovered during the investigation.

The New York Times praised the book as one of the top thrillers of 2024, maintaining a spot on the bestseller list for over 35 weeks.

In a brief segment, Swift is seen relaxing on a couch with her guitar in her London Eras Tour venue, with “The God of the Woods” playing in the background.

“Woke up this morning to a DM explosion,” Moore shared on Instagram on Friday morning, posting a snippet of the scene that went viral. “Thank you Swifties for your keen observation and passion for reading,” she added.

Moore also expressed her gratitude, “Thanks @taylorswift for keeping it real. (And I totally relate to using audiobooks as a form of anxiety relief.)”

On a recent Wednesday, the “Karma” singer shared her enthusiasm for audiobooks with Stephen Colbert, stating she listens to them “constantly.”

“I’m always switching it up. Right after finishing one, I jump into the next,” she remarked.

Swift described her favorite types of stories: “Imagine an old, sprawling British mansion, covered in moss or ivy, with a mysterious relationship at its heart, where things are not as they seem. Maybe there’s a murder from long ago, whispered rumors, possibly a ghost—or the very idea of one,” she illustrated.

She also mentioned her love for plot twists and unreliable narrators.

“If there’s a marriage, and it’s not quite right, like why is she with him? He’s awful. Oh wait, plot twist, the narrator is unreliable, and actually, she’s the crazy one,” she told Colbert.

She concluded by saying that if a story includes any of those elements, she’s definitely interested, jokingly adding, “And by read, I mean I’ll need someone to read it to me.”
